Touring teams need time , 3 warm up games at least to acclimatise ,,also 1st game as day / night test ws bad strategy ,,no wonder everyone winning at home so convincingly nwdays ,,
— Kapil Kulkarni (@kapslock_kk) December 15, 2019
I still see this test turning in NZ favour and NZ go 1-0
— Kishore (@iamKS_1) December 15, 2019
I think everyone forget how determined NZ can be and a rare 1st innings batting failure collectively will not be the end! Bundling out Aus for under 200 in 1st hour and I back NZ to dig in for over 5 sessions to chase 450
tou dont need to be aggressive to win games. you need to be smart. loll

Yup Baz, time will definitely tell but having one's own prediction is quite well the same way u predicted b4 #WorldCup2019

No NZ aren't good enough and on paper Australia are the 2nd best side currently. NZ benifited by the demise of South Africa and sandpapergate.

Bowling average of 95 this year. How underrated
— Chris De Lutiis (@CDelutiis) December 15, 2019
Agreed , but it seems the pink ball tests are skewed towards who bats first
— Blair Morgan (@BlairMorganNZ) December 15, 2019
Has served them ok over the last 32 months Junior? Test win in Sri Lanka and series win v Pakistan in the UAE. 🤓
— Brendon McCullum (@Bazmccullum) December 15, 2019
Credit should probably go to Ajaz Patel and Will Somerville for the spin effort in those two results.
— Dylan Didi (@kiwimuggle) December 15, 2019
Bit of an early crow here Vaughny? Boult to come back in will be a huge benefit to Nz. As will not having to start batting against the new pink ball under lights! Aus likely to go 1-0 up but seen enough to suggest it won’t be one way traffic throughout. Time will tell I guess..🧐
— Brendon McCullum (@Bazmccullum) December 15, 2019
Yes sorry Baz, love the optimism but Santner didn’t play the tests in Pakistan and was left out of the game they won in Sri Lanka. Santner improving with the ball and obviously does a job in our conditions but has a way to go before he’s a test match winner with the ball

Agree though that NZ should still feel like they can compete with this Aussie side, as impressive as they’ve been so far. Plenty of time to salvage this series and show what they’re made of
